Volt is immediately hiring for a Junior Process Technician in Las
Vegas, NV.
As a Junior Process Technician, you will:
Set up and operate a variety of material handling, molding,
finishing, and assembly equipment
Perform mold changes and machine adjustments
Start up and shut down molding machines
Operate forklifts to move and organize molds
Fill out daily process records to control and maintain machine
running conditions
Conduct minor repairs and change inserts as necessary
Operate, repair, and maintain high-volume molding machines
Monitor production quantities for color changes, mold changes, and
product completions
Execute activities within approved procedures to meet production
needs
Monitor and reduce scrap production
Maintain housekeeping by 5S standards
Promote safety, quality, and environmental awareness
Identify and resolve issues related to equipment, machines,
personnel, processes, training, and materials
Provide process improvement recommendations to engineering
Inspect machines hourly to ensure quality production
Accurately report daily shift performances
Troubleshoot support equipment (grinders, blenders, hopper loaders,
and chillers)
Communicate with team members about shift performance and scrap
Correct or remove workplace hazards
Perform duties as assigned by management
This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in machine start-up and shutdown, and knowledge of
essential machine functions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Basic data entry skills
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write in English
Capacity to work overtime as needed
Salary: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour. Shift: 2nd shift 1pm-9:30pm or
2pm-9:30pm & 3rd shift 10pm-6:30am
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
