settings. Your Role as an LPN/LVN As an LPN/LVN, you'll provide
skilled nursing services in various facilities, including
hospitals, long-term care centers, Rehab/Skilled Facilities, and
veterans' hospitals. You'll work under the direction of a
registered nurse or medical doctor, delivering compassionate care
and supporting patients in achieving their best health.What You'll
Do:
- Patient Care: Perform nursing procedures according to care
plans, including dressing changes, oxygen therapy, range of motion
exercises, and diabetic care.
- Medication Management: Set up prescribed medications,
administer them orally, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously, and
monitor patients' responses.
- Rehabilitation Support: Assist patients with daily living,
social skills, and recreational activities.
- Record Keeping: Document patient care accurately and maintain
confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with registered nurses,
doctors, and mid-level providers to deliver top-notch patient
care.
- Cultural Competence: Provide non-judgmental, respectful care
that honors cultural diversity, autonomy, and dignity. Requirements
to Join Our Team
- License: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
and a current LPN/LVN license in Nevada.
- Experience: At least 1 year of recent experience as an
LPN/LVN.
- Certifications: Current CPR certification and TB testing
(2-Step, Quantiferon, or CXR as needed).
- Screening: Background and drug screening as required by state
and client contracts.
- Physical Capability: Ability to read medical documents, move
medical equipment, and assist with transporting patients. Work
Environment:You'll gain experience in a variety of facilities, from
hospitals to long-term care settings, with potential exposure to
blood and bodily fluids. This role is ideal for someone adaptable,
caring, and excited to work in different healthcare environments.
