USAThe Managing Director is responsible for directing and managing
sales & marketing, production, safety, quality, and maintenance and
other business-related activities for the Shamrock Metals
business.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary
Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage sales & marketing of Shamrock Metals
products.
- This includes products manufactured by GR.
- Direct and manage plant operations for safety, production,
procurement, maintenance, quality, and shipping, receiving, &
delivery.
- Lead the company's safety program and ensure safety policies
and procedures are implemented and followed.
- Provide direct oversight and leadership for Sales, Operations,
Engineering, Estimating and Procurement.
- Coordinate plant activities through planning with the
Operations Team to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished
in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Regularly review production, hours and efficiencies to meet or
reduce hours.
- Responsible for meeting production goals, as well as developing
strategies to increase production at minimal costs.
- Review jobs and estimate hours needed to run through shop.
- Implement alternate production methods to ensure jobs are
completed in a timely manner based on comparison of plan hours and
estimated hours.
- Implement and maintain quality control program.
- Maintain a production plan vs. capacity for both short term and
long term.
- Establish (and maintain) strong communication with customers
and key vendors.
- Build and maintain a cohesive work culture that reflects the
core culture of Shamrock Metals and Glenn Rieder, LLC.
- Maintain a daily presence with employees.
- Build reports and earn trust/confidence of employees.
- Mentor and provide continual training on processes, and
alternate techniques/solutions.
- Provide work direction and process improvement initiatives to
the shop foreman.
- Hold staff accountable for sales and estimating goals, safety,
quality, cost, and meeting/exceeding customer deadlines.
- Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets.
- Maintain and grow the Shamrock Metal's customer base.
- Implement cost effective systems of control over capital,
operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
- Manage capital asset maintenance.
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production
and quality standards.
- Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and
repair expenses.
- Set proper staffing levels to maximize labor efficiency
hours.
- Implement and facilitate training on methodologies to improve
construction processes as related to cost efficiencies.
- Develop a cross-training plan to ensure coverage in all areas
of the shop.
- Ensure that the plant and delivery teams are compliant and
operate within all OSHA and DOT requirements.
- This includes documenting that all employees have timely and
successfully completed safety training and other mandated
requirements.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish Shamrock Metal's
goals and objectives.
- Oversee and incorporate shop floor organization and plant
cleanliness among all personnel.Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage proper inventory levels of common materials to meet
competitive lead times.
- Facilitate weekly shop floor/production meetings and report on
the progress of work orders.
- Responsible for building security & maintenance.
- Partner with Human Resources and Accounting on all essential
business activities.
- Effectively promote the Shamrock Metals culture and monitor
employee morale.An individual in this position must be able to

for the position.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education:
- Bachelors' degree in related field, or equivalent work
experience.Experience and/or Training:
- Minimum of 7-10 years previous experience in a management role
with sales and operations experience
- Strong leadership skills.
- Extensive understanding of the sales, manufacturing, and
installation of windows and doors
- Experience managing sales of $10+M.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in problem solving/analysis.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and implement alternate
solutions to challenges.
